Accountabilities:

  • Establish yourself as a trusted scientific advisor and expert for both internal team members and external healthcare professionals (HCPs).
  • Synthesize insights from various HCP segments within your region and communicate them effectively to internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as a reference point for integrating science into business strategies, training, and resources.
  • Create compelling narratives by synthesizing and integrating research findings for diverse HCP segments.
  • Collaborate with key collaborators across Medical Affairs, Commercial, and Development.
  • Drive standard methodology sharing within and outside the organization, applying them to Field Medical Affairs processes.
  • Lead clinical trials, research activities, and special projects.
  • Coach team members to develop strong relationships in different external business settings.
  • Support team members' creative ideas and recognize contributions to team/project success.
  • Provide input on MSL training content, assist with onboarding, and mentor new MSL hires.
  • Lead MSLs in congress scientific coverage and data synthesis support.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience required (i.e., Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP) in a relevant health science or clinical rigor.
  • 4+ years of MSL experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering customer-related outcomes in targeted field/territory.
  • Ability to impact Medical Affairs and MSL strategies on a regional level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate scientific data to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups.
  • Ability to navigate within a matrixial environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management ability.
  • Ability to travel (40-60% by car and plane domestically).

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Doctorate strongly preferred in a health science or clinical subject area.
  • Oncology experience.
